Insider Report: Recent Hacking Incidents Rock the Crypto World

In the fast-paced and ever-evolving world of cryptocurrency, hacking incidents remain a perennial concern. Over the past 24 hours, several alarming events have unfolded, leaving investors and crypto enthusiasts on high alert. From exploitations on popular platforms, such as Belugadex, to phishing attacks on Discord servers, these incidents highlight the urgent need for enhanced security measures in the crypto realm.

Belugadex Exploitation:

PeckShield, a leading blockchain security firm, have uncovered an ongoing exploit on the Belugadex platform running on the Arbitrum network. The exploiter strategically funded a mere 0.1 ETH from the OKX exchange initially, before executing a series of transactions. As a result, Belugadex has suffered substantial losses, with a total of 108.9 ETH (worth approximately $168,000) falling into the hands of the attacker.

The cunning exploiter managed to transfer 113 ETH (equivalent to approximately $175,000) to the MEXC exchange. This represents a significant concern for the crypto community, as it highlights the potential vulnerabilities within the DeFi ecosystem.

BIGTIME and 2049 Token Exploitations:

Another alarming incident comes in the form of rug pulls, where malicious actors take advantage of unsuspecting investors. On the BNB Chain, the token known as BIGTIME experienced a baffling -100% drop. The address 0x60d6…27To swapped a staggering 1,000,000,000,000,000 BIGTIME tokens for approximately 789.15 BNB. The total value of this transaction amounts to approximately $162,800.

Similarly, the 2049 tokens on the BNB Chain faced a similar fate. The address 0xfCE2…911e successfully swapped 1,000,000,000,000,000 2049 tokens for approximately 400 BNB, amounting to a value of approximately $82,500. These instances highlight the ease with which sophisticated attackers can manipulate vulnerable projects and exploit innocent investors.

Phishing Attacks on Discord Servers:

Crypto enthusiasts should exercise heightened caution when engaging with Discord servers. In a recent development, cybersecurity experts from CertiK Skynet issued warnings about compromised Discord servers with potential phishing risks. Users have fallen victim to phishing links posted in the announcements channel of prominent servers, such as the NowaiAI Discord server and Wallstmemes Discord server.

The NowaiAI Discord server hack involved a compromised server that exploited users by connecting them to a phishing site. It is of utmost importance not to connect your wallet to any suspicious links, including hxxps://

Likewise, the Wallstmemes Discord server incident displayed a similar pattern. Developers and administrators have cautioned users against interacting with hxxps:// or any other suspicious link until the team secures the server.

The recent wave of hacking incidents and phishing attacks within the cryptocurrency space underscores the urgent need for robust security measures. As the crypto industry continues to expand, attackers find new ways to exploit vulnerabilities, putting investors and projects at risk.

Platforms like Belugadex, which have suffered exploitations, serve as a stark reminder for the need to reinforce security protocols and undergo comprehensive audits regularly. Similarly, community vigilance is vital in identifying and flagging suspicious activities within Discord servers.

Moving forward, stakeholders within the crypto ecosystem must prioritize cybersecurity and collaborate to prevent these incidents. Innovations in security technology, along with continuous education efforts, can help safeguard the integrity of the crypto world, protecting investors and maintaining trust in the transformative potential of cryptocurrencies.
